— The Benefits of Tai Chi

The aim of our physical practice, which incorporates exercises from Tai Chi, Qigong, Aikido and Karate, is to build strength, mindfulness and harmony in both body and mind.

“Tai Chi promotes health, prevents injuries and alleviates chronic conditions.” Sage Journals (Summary of over 120 systematic reviews by medical researchers)

— Let body and mind meet!

“Tai chi is often described as ‘meditation in motion’ – you could also call it ‘medication in motion’.” Medically reviewed article, Harvard Health Publishing.

Physical benefits of Tai Chi include

  • increased flexibility
  • increased muscle strength and tone
  • improved respiration, energy and vitality
  • maintaining a balanced metabolism

Reconnect. Breath. Feel.

The exercises included in the training programme offer the following mental benefits

  • Reduced cortisol production
  • Greater inner calm
  • Greater emotional stability
  • Improved concentration and cognitive performance
  • Mental alertness

— New Students !

This you will learn

We’ll start by practising correct, deep breathing, standing upright and maintaining good posture. These exercises are drawn from Zen, Shiatsu, Karate and Aikido. We learn meditative, slow movements and sequences that both relax us and improve our physical fitness.

Here are a few tips for your first class:

  • All beginning students who are new to the group get the basics explained during training.
  • Bring a water bottle and small hand towel. If you have a Jo or a Bokken, please bring it.
  • Come 5–10 minutes early for your classes, so you can take your time to settle in.
  • Wear comfortable clothes such as sweats, leggings, T-shirts, tank tops. Choose sleek athletic shoes.
  • You set your own limits. If an exercise seems too difficult, do it as far as you can. With more practice, you will be able to do it.

Be sure to sign-up for our e-mail list for class updates, changes and other news mail@chi-form.eu or join our WhatsApp group.

There are only two things you can fail to do:
1. not setting out on the journey, or
2. stopping halfway through

We will get back to you with-in 24 hours.
